Bill Featherstone

Associate Pastor
Serving since Feb. 13, 2012

After attending the Hoopeston Church of God for almost five years, Bill Featherstone has joined our ministerial staff as Associate Pastor. He also plays lead guitar in the praise and worship band.

During the past eighteen years, Bill and his wife Melanie have served in pastoral roles in several churches, stretching from Illinois to Montana and Wyoming. Together they have four sons: Billy, 22; Noah, 20 (married to Katana); Ben, 17; and Wes, 15. Bill and Melanie will soon celebrate their twenty-fourth year of marriage. Their family is made complete with Steve, a large Maine Coon housecat.

Bill grew up in northern Idaho and the state of Washington before spending the last several years here in Illinois. He earned his bachelor’s in Religious Studies from Olivet Nazarene University, completed a master’s of ministry program at Northwest Nazarene University, and recently finished Organizational Leadership coursework at the University of Minnesota.

Featherstone is an experienced youth therapist and most recently served as a clinical supervisor, where he oversaw the development and implementation of mental health treatment services for troubled youth within the state of Illinois.

He will have multiple areas of focus in his new role.
